Q. How come I cannot get my picture/avatar to upload?A. Could be one of several things. First, let's make sure you are doing it correctly.
- Make sure you are logged in to your correct Twitter account.
- Click "Settings" on your top menu
- Click the "Picture" tab

Now you must make sure you have an acceptable image to use on your local computer. An acceptable image is 700k or less in size, and a .jpg, .gif, or .png image.
COMMON MISTAKE #1: Windows hides file extensions by default and many people select the wrong type of image. Once you click the browse button and select your local image, here is how you can check to make sure it is the correct file type: put the cursor in the file upload area and move the cursor all the way to the right and check the file extension to make sure it ends in .jpg, .gif, or .png.

COMMON MISTAKE #2: People forget to hit the "Save" button or click the "Delete current" by mistake. Be sure you click the button that says "Save".
"Thanks a lot Twooting, but I am not an idiot!" We know that. But even the most brilliant of us overlook the most simple things at times.
After you click save, you should see your new avatar within seconds AND the "That's a nice picture!" message appear at the top of the screen.

Still not working? You are not nuts. Twitter frequently has issues with avatars and user uploads. It is very likely they are having an issue. Try again later. Hopefully, it will work. If not, get a facelift and ask the doctor to make you look like this:
