I know I could look this up on the world wide wonder, but I thought I would ask you instead.  What is a "hash tag".

I am guessing it could be:

1. Something that you play after a week in the coffee shops of Amsterdam;
2. Something required on cans of meat, particularly when their primarily ingredients match cat food ingredients;
3. Game played hiphopists where they take turns explaining why their opponent is a biaaach.
